The success of your MLM blog depends on traffic. Lots of it. How else are you going to introduce people to who you are, what and who you know, and what you do?

It is a fact that the longer people spend time on your blog, clicking through to read additional posts, the greater chance you will have to make money from your MLM blog. The more people that read your blog, the higher your sales conversions will be. So increasing your MLM blog traffic should be your primary aim.

Your target market is the group of people you know are looking for what you have to offer. Once you define your target market, the rest of the steps to increase MLM blog traffic will fall into place. If you don’t do this first, you will flounder in all that you do in your business. You will lose money.

Resist the temptation to be too general in the hopes of getting a larger slice of your market. That’s like firing 10 bullets in random directions instead of aiming just one dead center of the mark–expensive and dangerous.

Try to describe your target market with as much detail as you can, based on your knowledge of your product or service. This will be the most important step that you can do to increase MLM blog traffic.

Your target market is the people who are most likely to buy from you. They are the ones who are most likely to partner with you in your primary MLM business. When you define your target market, you will guarantee an increase in your MLM blog traffic.

Step 2: Solve People’s Problems

Google runs on search. Millions of people sit down in front of their computer every day looking for the solution to the problems they have. For example, I have searched for everything from how heal a rash from baby dribble to how to build a chicken coop. (Strange, I know. But that was back in the day, when I was a stay at home mom.) So your main goal when you sit down to write a post on your MLM blog is to provide a solution.

What are the main problems Internet Network Marketers face? Usually, it is how to get more leads for their MLM business. In order for you to provide a solution to this problem, you need to become an expert at getting leads yourself. When you become an expert, you can share the successes and failures on your MLM blog. Believe me, people will start to listen. They will come back time and again, if you continue to provide valuable content. This will increase MLM blog traffic.

Another problem Internet Network Marketers face is what tools to use to get their home based Network Marketing business off the ground. Tools could range from educational products to anything that will simplify their life. Solving people’s problems is a great way to increase MLM blog traffic.

Step 3: Do Keyword Research/Implement SEO

It’s a shame that there are so many people who write valuable content that just sits there. Like a a set of car keys hidden in a drawer where no one can find it. Optimizing your post with search engine optimization skills will certainly increase MLM blog traffic.

Use free tools like the Google Keyword Tool to discover exact match phrases that will target a specific audience. Only use words that are searched by at least 1000 people or more. Be sure to take advantage of long term keywords that have less competition. These will allow you a better chance of getting ranked on the first page of Google. Getting ranked on the first page of Google will certainly increase MLM blog traffic.

Step 4: Write Content on a Consistent Basis

Search engines and blogging services adore it when a site is regularly updated. Posting valuable, fresh content that is relevant will improve your search engine rankings. Being found on the front page of Google for the keyword you target will bring you fresh targeted traffic. This will certainly increase your MLM blog traffic.

It is ideal to make a new post to your blog at least every other day or a couple posts a week. Be careful, however, about doing numerous posts in one day. Too many can alert the Google search engines. They may see you as using auto-blogging software and mark your website as spam. Spamming is not a good thing. You would be better off posting one piece of content every day than posting 7 pieces of content one day a week. To avoid this take advantage of the post scheduling option for each post of your WordPress blog.

Step 5: Do a YouTube Video

Do you have iphone or a camcorder? Then shoot a simple one minute video about your blog post. Talk briefly about what it is. Then at the end of the video, direct your viewers to your blog. There they can read the entire post. This is a pretty easy way to promote your blog. The key is to just do it and not think about shooting the perfect video. Just give valuable information and make eye catching titles! That’s it! This will give a boost of traffic to your MLM blog.

Step 6: Post in Forums

Be involved in the community by posting in forums. Only post valuable information. Never ever post spam on a forum. Post fresh, interesting content and replies. You promote your blog by putting a link to it in your signature. However, don’t just rush to post in any forum. For example, if you are in MLM, don’t go posting in a forum about menopause. If you are in MLM, post in a forum related to this industry. It is just counterproductive. Don’t you think?

One Network Marketing forum I can recommend is BetterNetworker.com. There is so much to learn from reading others’ posts in this forum. By posting in forums you get backlinks. These are are good for ranking and getting quality MLM traffic.

Step 7: Ping and Syndicate Content

Getting social media backlinks is something Google is seeing as important for rankings.

There are many websites out there in which you can ping posts right after you’ve published them on your blog. Basically, pinging means that you are letting the search engines know that you have updated your blog. The new post is ready to be crawled and indexed. Pinging services then list any new blog entries, thus driving traffic to them.

Personally, when I write a new post or create new content like a video, I always use pingomatic.com and have used bulkping.com as well. I have had good results with both. One thing that I want to point out about bulkping.com is that you can also sumbit your RSS feed. Pinging and submitting your blog’s RSS feed will certainly increase MLM blog traffic.

As for syndication, the best websites for this are Onlywire and TribePro. These websites provide social media bookmarking all at once! At a bush of a button, you can have your content on over 50 social bookmarking and networking sites. Using an automated process like Onlywire and TribePro will save so much time. Bonus Step: Submit to Blog Directories

There are many blog directories out there. The ones I like to use are technorati, blogarama, bloghub, and  blogcatalog. To find more, simply search on Google “blog directories”. Always be sure to write eye catching titles and blog descriptions so that people are more intrigued to see what your blog is about. By submitting your blog posts to blog directories you will surely increase MLM blog traffic.
